The Maze Runner is a thrilling book filled with action. The main character, Thomas, is faced with many problems ahead of him. He wakes up in a deadly maze surrounded by other boys, who also lost their memory. He makes friends while he is there but when a girl arrives and knows his name, suspision is drawn to him.The boys have to work together to get out of the maze but keep fighting with each other. The tension in the air and trust issues. Will they be able to free themselves of the maze?
This book is entertaining and filled with emotion. You are filled with anticipation when Thomas goes out into the maze to save a kid or what they call "runner". Is he going to live or die? Is he going to save the runner? These thoughts fill your head as you continue to read the story. You get attached to the charters and fill sad when one of them dies. The huge machine chasing after them, all the fighting, and emotion keeps you on the edge of your seat thirsty for more.
